Two tables + 8 chairs allow everyone to enjoy the balcony. Off the balcony is a lockable door to our STAIRWAY DIRECTLY to the white sands & the rejuvenating emerald waters! No waiting for elevator to the beach means more time relaxing on the sugar white sands! Just down the stairs to the beach ! Just sit out on the balcony and watching the porpoises swim and relax.

The charm & playfulness of this luxury accommodation begins to dawn on you. You’ll notice the 9.5ft great room ceiling, casual beach elegance, art work, ceiling fans, 65” flat screen color cable TV, Wifi internet capability throughout the condo, you can stay in touch with your emails or just ignore them.

The large island kitchen is outfitted for your every convenience including, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator w/icemaker & electric stove. If you’re a cook, you’ll be pleased to see it is fully appointed for cooking memorable beach meals for a group or just a couple! A large dining room table with seating for eight & long inviting bar with three tall chairs make dining in a joy.

The spacious colorful Master Bedroom has king bed, 42” flat screen color cable TV with dvd ( blue ray capable/VCR, stereo CD radio, beautiful art work and even a window that upon awakening, you can gaze at the beach from the bed! The adjoining large. master bath has a walk-in closet, two sinks, with custom walk in shower.

Guest room #1 has a king bed, 42 “ flat screen color cable TV with dvd player ( blue ray capable) and a large double closet. Private full custom bathroom with tub/shower adjoins.

Guest room #2 has one double with a twin above, and a separate queen bed, 42” flat screen color cable TV with dvd player ( blue ray capable) and a large double closet. Guests use the full custom hall bathroom with tub/shower.

Sugar Dunes Complex is located on 350 feet width of beachfront on Seagrove Beach, off Highway 30-A in South Walton County, between Deer Lake State Park & Eastern Lake. With only 24 units in the complex & no high rises nearby, the beach is private & relaxing. No tents or canopies allowed so plenty of space for your family to sunbathe & play on the beach. Unit 5 is just east of the center of complex on first floor, is a very spacious-approx. 1600+ sq ft- gulf front luxury design accommodation conveniently located near the complex elevator.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING? We leave a few beach toys and a few chairs for guest use in our porch closet, so bring beach towels, suntan lotion, fishing or golf equip. NO CANOPIES, OR TARPS ARE ALLOWED! NO GOLF ARE CARTS ALLOWED.

  The condo was nice--clean and well furnished. And in a good location. But the photos were misleading. Instead of a panorama view of the gulf, we had a limited view because of a large, bulky staircase that led to the beach. We had to climb those stairs to get to a landing where we could see he full beach. And people on the stairs could see into the condo.

  We absolutely loved this vacation home! Our family stayed for 7 nights and it was one of the best family trips we’ve ever had. The rental was the perfect location, and the views of the ocean were breathtaking. Right when we walked in, we were blown away at the views, and the porch was dreamy for morning coffee and a glass of wine in the evening. The home was clean, updated, and our friends complemented our room on how beautiful it was. The pictures can’t do it justice. This was one of our favorite vacations we’ve ever had, and we will definitely come back. For a reference, my husband and I have two children and it was the perfect space for everybody. Loved!!!

  The home was very nice and accommodating.
  The rain for two day’s alternate our days in the beach which made us sad because it is so beautiful we wanted to be out on the beach. But no one can control that. During the heavy rain water poured into the windows of the front two headroom we used towels to dry up. It is coming in from the top of the window in both front bedrooms. I did take a picture I can send for you to see.
  We love the view and the place. Just down the steps to the beautiful white sandy clean beach.
  We could view the ocean all the time from our unit 5.

  Our experience at Sugar Dunes #5 was overall very positive. There were some minor things that could be improved. For example:more trash bags included with the property, more bath soap and dishwasher pods. The tiny coffee pot was ok but did not have any coffee pot filters.
  It would be nice to have at least two beach chairs in the closet. We had two power outages that were storm related and no reflection on the rental.

  The unit is part of a 24 unit 4 story complex. It’s located at the back of a small neighborhood......felt private and traffic was minimal.

  We had a terrific stay at Sugar Dunes #5. It was perfect for our vacation. Exceptionally clean and perfect for people who want to stay on the beach. The ONLY thing I would say is that the upstairs neighbors must be having work done and they start at 8am or before - foot steps are very noisy and they started their sawing super early. OK for early morning adults, but the teenagers weren't so happy.
  I would recommend providing your vacationers with box fans in each room to drown out the early noise -we have a vacation home and all of our friends and family compliment us on how they are awesome!

  We have been coming to Seagrove for several years but this was our first time renting at Sugar Dunes. We all decide we have found “our place” and we can never rent anywhere else! The condo was exactly as described. We cooked in the kitchen and never found ourselves out of any utensil or cooking equipment. While the inside was everything we needed, the balcony was the best. They have found the most comfortable chairs! And we were so close to the beach, we never needed to bring our cooler to the beach, just walk a few steps to get back to your condo. We found the beach very quiet, unlike what we hear about Rosemary or Seaside. Our Instacart delivery guy LOVED that there was an elevator to make deliveries and packing/unpacking that much easier. Several restaurants are very close and I highly recommend Buddy’s for steamed seafood to take back to your place (they close at 6pm, fyi). Steamboat Grill 30a is also recommended and they take their COVID precautions seriously.

  Overall we had terrific time. Unit 5 has a great layout and is soooo convenient to the beach. The only issue was that this is a 3 bedroom unit and we had couples arriving from 3 different locations. The limitation of only 2 vehicles per unit that can be parked at the facility is an issue. It was a hassle trying to find a convenient safe place for the "extra" vehicle. It would be very helpful if the rental agency could provide an alternative for the 3rd vehicle prior to arrival.

  The rental was perfect for our family of eight, including two small children, a teen-ager and his girlfriend. With three bedrooms and and three bathrooms, we were all able to have great space for ourselves to relax. We loved the wide common spaces having great views of the gulf. It was outstanding that the beach was just a few steps from our patio. The rental had everything for meals and also for the beach. We especially loved the family atmosphere in that part of the beach. The beach was less crowded than most other places on the gulf.

  Very spacious condo with comfortable bedding. Kitchen has everything you need. The building has had some foundation issues and the condo felt off balance when we first walked in. The flooring definitely needs to be replaced to even out slant. Overall, the condo was clean with the exception of the kitchen flooring. Had some minor issues that management addressed immediately. We adjusted to the floor slanting after the first day, and enjoyed the location and the openness. Weather turned out to be perfect for December. Could sit on the balcony with our coffee in the morning and our cocktails in the evening. My suggestion as far as bedding would be another king to replace queen or twins in the 3rd bedroom. For couples, the twins could be pushed together. I travel several times a year with a group of females and we always look for either king or twin bedding as a queen is too tight.

    Marsha, Thank you for your review, we have plans to replace the tile flooring, all of the bedding is new, in each room, queen, two doubles, and a king size bed in the master, we do not have any plans to replace any of the bedding, since it is new. The balcony is a great place to relax, and has super easy beach access, since it is on the first level. A little known secret, just to the East (approximately 7/10's of a mile), is state owned land, so the beaches are pristine, no buildings, just beautiful, sugar white sand , and nature the way it was intended.   My wife and two teen daughters had a great time staying here. Right on the beach. Place was in great shape. There was some general construction on the building while we were there which was a little inconvenient but on the whole great place.
